We are a charity with a difference. Our aims aren't broad and all-encompassing, but very simple, specific and practical - we aim to help improve the lives of Timorese children by building infrastructure and developing training programmes in swimming skills to bring health outcomes, structure and self-discipline, a sense of self esteem - and give these beautiful kids a chance to have some healthy fun, in a country where poverty and lack of opportunity are a huge challenge. For $125.00 our ASEET program equips a child with basic water safety and survival awareness. Your donation to this program could save a child's life.

Our Next Timor Leste Program !
The next learn to swim program will begin in Dili in Aug 2011. This will be a six week programme for beginners through to teenagers. This will prove to be an even more effective term for teaching results. Some of the students from our May program will be advancing into a higher and more challenging category which will prove the effectiveness of longer teaching terms and the methods used.
These kids are very enthusiastic and hungry to learn. A 6 weeks program will see them well on their way to swimming confidently.
Meg's program for Jan/Mar 2012
Meg will be arriving in Dili on Jan 18. 2012 for an extended period of some 3 months. During this time she will be working with a number of volunteers to give the program an injection of new energy and life into our program.
This year we are extending our presence in Dili to offer a greater opportunity for the training to be imbedded more deeply. We have at this stage 10 volunteers arriving at various intervals to assist. Use the contact link if you want to enquire about being a volunteer.
We all deserve a chance to have a healthy happy childhood.
